FMP- creative making

This week I had to create feature of my architecture such as the auditorium. With this task I created initial sketches of some of my ideas, taking inspiration from my gallery/museum visits I looked into creating a seating area inspired by Martin Creed's exhibition which had a room full of big bright balloons; I really enjoyed this role as it interacted with its audience. This also allowed me to look back to exploratory stage quick maquette making strategies which I found usefully along with quick sketches.

After my sketches I then looked into playing around with materials to explore their properties and see what I could do with them and then placing a 1:250 scale architecture figures I gave the whole design a scale

As a group we've tried to use most of the materials; and with these we have tried explore and experiment with the materials that was listed to us. We also look into consideration the location of the college and whats around us the Canary Wharf and whats going on around, the new buildings going on around the cranes and the buildings across the Thames river. We individually then looked at creating miniature maquette's because we were all full of ideas and the one point that I liked about this workshop day was exchanging ideas and thoughts with students from different pathway areas. At the end we came up with so many ideas that we couldn't make up our mind with one idea. Finally we looked into a yoga matt and started to play around with the shapes and the using layering techniques; to conclude with making a necklace. Then we thought of adding a something onto under the necklace, so we played around with some fabric and created a skirt and top.
